Tornado Siren Testing

Tornado Siren: During the storm season the City of Cleveland implements the monthly Outdoor Warning Siren tests on second Wednesday of each month at noon, unless inclement weather is forecast. Two separate siren wails will be tested. The first wail is a steady sound warning citizen of an approaching tornado; the second is a fast wail, which warns citizens of an emergency situation where further information will be provided to citizens. Officials emphasized that the system is only to inform people who are outside and is not designed to be heard indoors. Residents are urged to buy a weather radio for inside homes and businesses.
